Established in 1999 and headquartered in Vadavalli, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, we have been the trusted supplier of NABH-compliant identification solutions to more than 1200 hospitals across India and select international markets for over 25 years. In 1999, our founders observed that Indian hospitals were either importing expensive identification wristbands from Europe and the US, or improvising with paper-and-string solutions that compromised patient safety. We set out to change that. From a small workshop in Vadavalli, Coimbatore, Healtec became the first Indian company to manufacture custom-printed patient ID tags with hospital name and logo at scale. Today our wristbands are worn by patients in district hospitals, multi-specialty chains, government healthcare missions, and NABH-accredited tertiary-care institutions across the country.
We are the only manufacturer in India that offers fully custom-printed patient identification tags with your hospital’s name, logo and bespoke field markings — alongside our standard plain-tag range. Every Healtec wristband is built on medical-grade fiber-reinforced polymer that is skin-friendly, tear-resistant, washproof, and coated with bactericide and fungicide to suit India’s tropical climate. We have deliberately removed PVC, vinyl and rubber from our material list because these are no longer favoured in regulated healthcare markets due to allergen risks.
Healtec wristbands are supplied to 1200+ hospitals from Srinagar in Kashmir to Kanyakumari at the southern tip of India. We work with leading hospital chains, government healthcare missions, district medical authorities, NICU specialists, mass-casualty / disaster response teams, and dedicated paediatric and maternity centres. We also export selected products to international markets across South Asia, Middle East and Africa
Beyond identification tags, Healtec’s Bio-Surgicals division is a premier Indian source for medicinal leeches used in plastic and reconstructive surgery, and medical maggots used in advanced wound debridement therapy. We are currently one of very few Indian suppliers of these regulated biological products.
